A customer we have dealt with recently has a Lexmark XS654de as well as a Lexmark XS651de multifunction copier. They bought this machine and have an out of state location. When calling Lexmark about the support on the Lexmark XS654de, they say that it is a “parts only” warranty, meaning they don’t dispatch a technician to address service concerns. It’s weird because this is a $2,500 copier and the X464de or XS464de are given an “on-site” warranty but are also half the price.

If you are considering buting a Lexmark XS654de in Denver, make sure you work with an authorized service group and theat you don’t deploy the machine too far away from home, otherwise, you’ll be in a position where the supplier will want to charge you for the labor and you’ll be expecting that it’s included.

Please call us for printer or copier needs in Denver!

Sometimes we buy a unit for stock that we don’t end up selling as many as we thought we would. We have a BRAND NEW HP 4345X MFP for sale. We are selling this copier at a loss in Denver. We are charging $3,400.00 delivered for this unit. This is HP’s most popular MFP over the last few years. We have access to this unit because the company that has it in stock bought it to keep up on HP certifications and they are looking to purge their inventory. Normally, this unit costs $3,699 plus freight of about $200. Save about $500 because of the motivation to sell this copier in Denver.

Print, Copy, Scan, and Fax all with the knowledge you are getting a new copier at a steal and that you are getting a trusted brand for printing and copying technology!

I always try hard to be fair and accurate. This is a post in which I feel it is necessary to vent a bit. When I looked at the Xerox WorkCentre 7435 spec sheet, it seemed to me that the “Scan to Folder” would be scan to network, not just “scan to the copier”… This is a frustration as I am a reseller and even after calling around to various Xerox people, I was still unable to get accurate information. I thought that after learning this truth, Xerox would take care of it because they are the ones with the poor wording. Not so!

Xerox basically stated I should have called into a higher level of support and that it was my problem for assuming. I normally like Xerox a ton, but this is a situation where they seemed to drop the ball. If you need scan to network and you are buying a WorkCentre 7435, make sure you buy the kit or that it’s quoted in your initial quote!

If you would like a quote on a Xerox Copier in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, or other front range locations, please give us a call!

You may have seen the video we recently featured on copier data security and now are scrambling for a way to be sure your hard drive in your copier is protecting your company’s critical data. Many copier companies are beginning to see this is a good opportunity for marketing (much like the “green initiatives” were 2 or 3 years ago.) These companies want to talk about their “Data Security Kits” or their disk overwriting on their copiers, but this is a problem that actually requires discipline and effort to actually address. The simplistic view that the hard drive of the copier is really all that puts it at risk is a bit naive and if you only address this one concern, you may find you are still exposed!

Think of data security as a fence. The copier, if it is sold correctly and installed correctly will have a fence around all of the malicious threats against your company.

If all you do is address the hard drive, what other threats are you still vulnerable to?

If you purchase the data security kits and they are not installed, enabled and tested, you may be paying for something that isn’t even working.

If you have a maliciously intended employee, how do you stop them from scanning critical company information to their own E mail address?

Does your network card and fax card come on the same board? There is a data security threat there

Does the copier encrypt the data as it receives it in case you lost power (or it died) and then those documents are also protected?

Does it use the https protocol rather than the insecure http protocol?

All in all, copier security is not just dealing with the hard drive. It is, in its most elemental form, simply treating the copier like a laptop, a PC or any other item you deal with on your network!

Please give us a call if you are curious about copier security or data security here in Denver! If you are a copier buyer in Denver, ultimately, data security is your problem and responsibility, we are just here to help you out!

Have you been considering leasing or purchasing a copier machine in Denver? Copier machines, or copiers are a necessary component of every office. Maybe you are trying to get a cheap copier machine or maybe you are cool spending more money. Regardless of the case, anyone who is purchasing a copier machine in Denver, should keep these ideas in mind.

Used copier machines are almost always cheaper (if done correctly) than new copiers, and if you are needing to save money, you definitely need to consider a used copier.

Color copier machines are more expensive than black and white copier machines.

Copier machines can be leased or they can be purchased. Anyone who says you HAVE to lease a copier machine or HAVE to purchase a copier is delusional or has an agenda not in your best interest.

Researching copier machines online (like here) is a good idea, but at the end of the day you will probably want to see the copier machine you are interested live.

As people are finally becoming more aware of the data security issues as it relates to copiers in Denver, there are some basics you should know before you freak out or don’t get concerned at all.

Almost every copier produced since 2002 has a hard drive standard. What does this mean for you? There could be images of your copies on the hard drive of your copier

Only some copiers came standard with data security kits and some of these were not configured properly, so it’s always wise to double check.

Used copiers are flooding the market, especially with the economic climate and if you didn’t address your data, someone else may… but then again they may not. It’s on you.

If you have to be HIIPA compliant, this is a concern.

If you are an attorney this is a concern

If you are an accountant, this is a concern.

If you copy sensitive information, this is a concern

If you are getting ready to buy a new copier in Denver and you want to make sure you’re safe, we can help you out with this.

When looking for a color copier in Denver, many people seem to get stuck in the “paralysis by analysis” scenario. They call 3 or 4 copier dealers in the Denver area. Maybe the copier dealers represent 5 brands or so and then they have to compare the options and see what is the best for their particular needs. Should they buy the Canon Color Copier, the Xerox Color Copier, the HP Color MFP, the Toshiba Color Copier or the Kyocera Color Copier? It is difficult when one company is saying another companies copiers are bad and the circle continues…

At the end of the day, most copier companies build a decent copier, they just all have their own personalities. The Xerox WorkCentre 7425 is no different. The ideal spot for this color copier in Denver would be the following scenario…

Heavy Color coverage, most of which or a lot of which is 11 X 17 paper

Thick media — This copier is awesome with card stock!

Higher print volumes. It is a sturdy print engine

When it is not appropriate

Low print volumes

Spot color

If you are looking for an all in one printer scanner copier, you are generally in that “sub $1,000″ catagory. Seeing an all in one printer scanner copier that is $10,000 is generally out of that budget. Xerox has an interesting product with the Xerox Phaser 6180MFP (Comes either as the Xerox Phaser 6180MFP/N or the Xerox Phaser 6180/D — The difference is the duplex print in the /d variant.)

With a starting price around $700 and $75 coming back in rebates, this is a far better all in one printer scanner copier than you are going to get at the standard big box office stores. It is good to take a look at this, especially for those who do brochures or color printing for verticals such as Real Estate. Why? We can get you on a cost per print contract which will keep your color costs around $.13 a page (including maintenance), regardless of how much toner you put on the page.

Have you been looking for an 11 X 17 copier or printer in Denver? This is a pretty typical need. One thing to keep in mind is the difference in cost on a tabloid capable copier vs a 8.5 X 14 copier is approx $3,000.

So, this leads us to a natural question… Is a 11 X 17 copier or printer worth it?One one side of the argument will be the departments that occasionally use it. The other side will be those who do not use 11 X 17 paper in their copier.

A good rule of thumb is that if 10% or more of your copying is tabloid then you definitely want an 11 X 17 copier/printer. If you are at less than 10%, you can weigh the relative merits of convenience vs the cost for convenience with an 11 X 17 copier or printer.
