Tips on How to Keep Your Xerox Copier Clean

If you’re experiencing lines or streaks with your copier on your copies when they print out then it’s time to do some cleaning. It’s a great idea to routinely clean your copier about once or twice a month to prevent this from happening.

Depending on the number of people working at your office with all of their hands touching your copier and the glass portion of it. There could also be ink leaks when changing the toner just by someone changing it wrong or getting it on their hands and then touching the copier.

Steps to clean your copier are as follows:

1. Lift the Scanner lid on top of the copier.
2. Look for the big square glass panel as well as the small clear strip.
3. Clean both these glass parts with a towel and glass cleaner if you have it. If you do not have glass cleaner then mix water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid. Do NOT apply the cleaner directly onto the glass because it could damage it.
4. Make sure it’s completely dry by wiping again with a towel.
